Partners in Prosperity: Cherokee Nation

The Cherokee Nation is the largest tribe in the United States. Their capital resides here in Tahlequah, of Cherokee County. With the Reservation in Northeast Oklahoma, they provide a plentiful number of services to their citizens. Implementing such things as economic and infrastructure development, housing, health and human services, education, environment protection, employment, and more.

While providing and preserving the means to their Cherokee community, the Cherokee Nation does not shy away from giving to the community around it as well. Being a member of the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce since 1989, they have continuously given where they can.

As 2024 begins, the Cherokee Nation will be a Presenting Sponsor to three events: The Chamber Annual Banquet, The Chamber Golf Tournament, and State of the Community. All of these very important to the mission of the Chamber, the Cherokee Nation and its participation has and will always be very appreciated within Tahlequah.

State of the Community is our event where community members can come together to discuss concerns as to where Tahlequah is today and its future. It is coming up in February and individual ticket sales with limited quantity will go on sale on the 1st.
