Membership Spotlight: Save-A-Lot
Save-A-Lot, a locally owned and operated grocery store, was bought by Angie and her husband, Rod Taylor, in March of 2012. In the beginning, Angie co-managed the grocery store with Rod, but now Angie works behind the scenes doing all of the business’ bookkeeping.
Although owning a business can come with several challenges, Angie and Rod say it is also very rewarding. The Taylors enjoy getting to know other business owners in the community and learning from them. Over the years, Save-A-Lot has also hired many students. Angie and Rod find joy in seeing them grow in their jobs and develop skills to help them throughout their lives.
Save-A-Lot has recently completed a major renovation and remodeling project. Angie and Rod are very excited for those who have not yet seen the updates to come in and check it out. This locally owned grocery store has so much to offer to its customers. They have anything ranging from fresh produce to a variety of laundry detergents and products. New ads come out every Wednesday with great deals on fresh meats and produce, along with other everyday items. Save-A-Lot also partners with non-profit organizations such as Care Food Pantry, the Hands of Grace and local churches in efforts to help those in need.
Save-A-Lot is located at 614 E Downing St, Tahlequah, OK and is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
