Membership Spotlight: Rotary Club

The Tahlequah Rotary Foundation, Inc. is a branch of Rotary International. As a global nonprofit organization composed of action-oriented members, they strive to make the world a better place. With their mission being to provide service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace, the Rotary holds themselves to a higher standard. This mission is accomplished through their fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.  

The Rotary Club focuses primarily on serving Cherokee County communities and surrounding areas. In their efforts to make the world a better place, the Rotary Club has several different charitable efforts. Some of these endeavors include community action grants, Christmas food basket donations, scholarships for high school seniors, book donations for all third and fifth graders in the county and Student of the Month awards.  

Although the Rotary Club is passionate about their charitable efforts, they are also passionate in their service project. These service projects have made a large impact on those in need. For example, the Rotary Club works with Medical Supplies Network, Inc. based out of Tulsa to collect and donate gently used medical equipment. Once collected, MSNI then ships this equipment to less developed areas of the world that are in dire need of these supplies. The aforementioned initiatives would not be possible without contributions from their members and donors.  

The Tahlequah Rotary Foundation, Inc. will be hosting their second annual Gala & Fundraiser on April 21, 2023 at The Chota Event Center in Tahlequah. Both monetary and in-kind donations are warmly accepted by the Rotary Club. Sponsorship opportunities are also available to highlight your organization's support. Every dollar raised at the event will go directly back into their philanthropic efforts. 

To get involved with the Rotary Club, you may attend their meetings, which are held every Tuesday at noon at Go Ye Village or The Rotary Derby Gala & Auction, which will be held on April 21, 2023 at the Chota Event Center in Tahlequah.
